WATCH: Swing State Governor Fails To Name Any Policy Differences Between Kamala, Biden

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, failed to name any policy differences between President Biden and Vice President Harris during Sunday’s installment of “Meet The Press.”

“Polls do show that more Americans feel as though President Biden’s policies have hurt them rather than help them. So can you name one key policy difference between Vice President Harris and President Biden?” asked NBC’s Kristen Welker. “How would her administration look different?”

“You know, I’ve been really encouraged by the amount of energy that Kamala Harris, Vice President Harris, has put into focusing on how she will cut taxes for small businesses. The focus on child care tax credit expansion, that’s something I’ve done here in Pennsylvania. We’ve seen that work to ease the burden on families,” Shapiro answered, opting to sidestep the question. “I think a focus on those kinds of things is particularly important and those are the kinds of things I think Kamala Harris has brought specifically to this race.”

Welker then noted that Shapiro failed to name any policy differences between Harris and President Biden and asked if he would be able to. The governor — who was once seen as a top contender to serve as Harris’ running mate — once again refused to answer the question and attempted to redirect the conversation to former President Donald Trump.

According to a recent report from NBC News, Harris is now giving President Biden the cold shoulder and will not be appearing alongside him for any more campaign events before Election Day.

Harris has attempted to present herself as a “change candidate” and distance herself from President Biden, even though she is a part of the current administration.

In a tense interview with Fox News earlier week, interviewer Bret Baier pressed the vice president on how she could possibly represent a change in leadership. “My presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency, and, like every new president that comes in to office, I will bring my life experiences, my professional experiences, and fresh and new ideas. I represent a new generation of leadership,” Harris said.
