President Biden referred to tens of millions of Trump supporters as human “garbage” during an interview with CNN on Tuesday evening.
Biden took aim at comments made by insult comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who performed a comedy set at former President Trump’s sold-out rally at Madison Square Garden over the weekend. Hinchcliffe — who is known for his no holds barred style of roast comedy — at one point made a joke about Puerto Rico. The Harris-Walz has seized on the comment and have attempted to tie it to the Trump Campaign.

“They’re good, decent, honorable people,” President Biden said of Puerto Ricans. “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”
A White House spokesperson soon attempted to downplay the president’s comments, blaming he was referring to Hinchcliffe specifically.

The president’s comments — which have been compared to Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorable” quote — came as Kamala Harris was delivering her “closing argument” speech in Washington D.C.
Much like her boss, Harris spent the speech labeling Trump supporters as “threats” to Democracy and misrepresented the events of the January 6 Capitol protests. She also referred to her Republican rival as a “petty tyrant” as her own administration continues to lock up peaceful protesters and prosecute their political rivals.
“They didn’t do that only to see us submit to the will of another petty tyrant,” Harris, was installed as her party’s nominee without receiving a single vote, told the D.C. crowd. “These United States of America, we are not a vessel for the schemes of wannabe dictators. America is the greatest idea humanity ever devised.”

Like Biden and Harris, Democrats have been turning up the rhetoric down the stretch of the election. The Atlantic recently ran a number of debunked hit pieces claiming the former president praised Adolf Hitler, while former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton referred to Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally as a “Nazi” event.
