Michigan Democrats Abandon Socialist Senate Candidate — Endorse Republican

Democrats in Michigan are fleeing their own Senate candidate in droves — endorsing the Republican instead.

The chaos centers on Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate. His family has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, according to The New York Times. He’s openly fraternized with anti-American communist podcaster Hasan Piker — the same Hasan Piker who declared “America deserved 9-11.”

An ardent opponent of Israel, El-Sayed has alienated Jewish voters across the state. He’s advertised himself as a medical doctor — but he’s not a licensed physician at all, according to Bridge Michigan.

“AMERICA DESERVED 9-11.”

Rather than moderating his message, the Democratic nominee is doubling down on socialist extremism. And Democrats are jumping ship.

The longtime Democratic Saginaw County sheriff switched to independent and announced his support for Republican Mike Rogers. Former Democratic Congressman Hansen Clarke has also endorsed Rogers.

The biggest proof of realignment? Michigan Congresswoman Haley Stevens — who ran against El-Sayed in the primary — just endorsed the Republican.

Stevens admitted in a November 1st press conference that she is still a proud Democrat. The Michigan Democratic Party apparatus showed no mercy. They officially announced she is no longer a Democrat. They stripped her access to Democratic voter rolls. They removed her name and picture from the Michigan Democratic Party website.

Speaker emerita Nancy Pelosi has bashed Abdul. Senator John Fetterman has joined the pile-on, distancing himself from the radical who puts Palestine ahead of General Motors.

Black Democratic voters in Michigan are fed up with a party that doesn’t support their interests. They have endorsed Rogers. Jewish Democrats feel increasingly isolated by a political apparatus that panders to Palestinian terrorism. They are voting for Rogers.

These two ethnic voting blocs have been reliable Democratic voters for generations. And a Republican former congressman is about to capitalize on their disillusionment and win a U.S. Senate seat.

Mike Rogers, the former congressman and chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, lost his previous bid for U.S. Senate by less than a percentage point in 2024. This time, he’s positioned to win — powered by Democrats fleeing their own party’s extremism.

The Democratic Socialists of America, the growing fringe of the DNC, are on a revenge tour against Establishment Democrats. They want the radical socialist agenda that party leaders promised but never delivered. They’re building on major victories in New York City — removing three Democratic incumbents in Congressional races.

With the rise of the DSA, legacy Democratic voters are starting to have second thoughts about their party.

Republicans made a similar mistake four years ago in 2022 — pushing unvetted MAGA types with little government experience. Their chances went from a red tsunami to a red trickle.

Democrats are having this problem now. They never learn.

The Wolverine State going Republican at the federal level could highlight an unprecedented political realignment — one with implications for years to come.

Democrats have much to fear in this election cycle. And it was supposed to be a walk for them.
