President Donald Trump made his final pitch of the 2026 midterm campaign on November 2, 2026, standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool with the Washington Monument at his back. His message to voters heading into the November 3 elections was blunt: the country’s progress is on the ballot, and Democrats have put forward candidates who should never be handed power.
“The Democrat Party has nominated the most extreme and dangerous slate of candidates in American history,” Trump said, according to The Daily Wire. “With your vote, we will decide: these extremists will be given power or not power.”
A Cleaned-Up Capital as the Backdrop
Trump opened with the setting itself. Before turning to the elections, he walked the crowd through his push to restore and beautify Washington, D.C., holding up before-and-after photos of the Reflecting Pool. A sign beside the podium read “Back, and more beautiful than ever!”
He then laid out his case for the second term. As the New York Post reported, Trump pointed to falling oil prices, low unemployment, sharply lower crime and a near halt to illegal crossings at the border. He also renewed his pledge of a $5,000 payment per voter if Republicans keep control of Congress, which he tied to what he calls America’s “golden age.”
“We have to keep our Congress strong, free. A little bit of apple pie,” Trump said.
What Trump Says Is at Stake
Trump argued that a Democratic Congress would roll the country back on nearly every front. The agenda he warned against, as reported by The Daily Wire and the New York Post, includes open borders, trillions of dollars in new taxes, rollbacks of Second Amendment rights, gender procedures on children, an end to American oil and natural gas, higher energy bills and a new flood of migrants.
“When you vote, remember a party that hates America cannot be allowed to rule over the people who built our country,” he said.
Two Senate Races in the Spotlight
Michigan. Trump named one Democratic Senate candidate directly: Abdul El-Sayed. He cited a New York Post report that El-Sayed sought voter support at mosques where speakers had described the United States as “the House of Satan.”
“We call the United States the House of God, they call it the House of Satan,” Trump said. “We don’t want people that call the United States the House of Satan.”
Alaska. Trump also went after the so-called “Decoy Dan” controversy. The New York Times reported that Democratic operatives worked with aides to Democratic Senate candidate Mary Peltola to recruit a second candidate named Dan Sullivan, the same name as Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan. Peltola’s campaign has denied any involvement, and the Justice Department is reportedly investigating how the second Sullivan landed on the ballot.
“In Alaska, the Democrats conspired to get a fake Dan Sullivan on the ballot to confuse voters and run against the real Dan Sullivan,” Trump said. After the speech, he posted on Truth Social that Peltola “should be forced to resign” and predicted one of the “Greatest Fraud Prosecutions in American History.”
The End of a 29-Rally Sprint
The Reflecting Pool speech capped a weekslong campaign blitz that took Trump to more than 20 states. He held 29 rallies, per the New York Post, including more than 27 in October alone, according to Fox News Digital. His final weekend took him to Iowa and Kansas, and he scheduled nine tele-rallies on top of the Washington address.
The road show drew some famous faces, too. Boxing legends Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield and rapper Nicki Minaj all appeared with Trump during the October stretch, and Minaj helped pack an arena in Port Huron, Michigan, even with a Detroit Lions game on at the same time.
Trump acknowledged that the party in the White House has historically had a hard time in midterm years, but said he and his team gave this race everything they had. Twenty-nine rallies later, he has made clear he has no intention of accepting that history quietly.
Now the decision belongs to voters. Polls open across the country on November 3, 2026. Patriots, make a plan, bring a friend and make your voice count.
