President Trump took the opportunity to remind everyone that it was high time someone defended America’s interests against unfair trade practices, particularly from China.
“We have a big job to do. No other president would have done what I did,” he emphasized. “What was happening to us on trade…not only China but others also…Somebody had to do it (impose tariffs) because it (the status quo) was not acceptable.”
