If you can’t stand our cherished First Amendment, Second Amendment, or the American way of life, it’s simple—feel free to relocate. This idea couldn’t be greater, and it’s one that those self-important, over-the-top celebrities should take to heart.
As reported recently,
Courtney Love, the aging grunge rocker and widow of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, says she is getting citizenship in the United Kingdom because Donald Trump is back in the White House.
While addressing an audience at London’s Royal Geographical Society, the 60-year-old Hole singer revealed her plans, “I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen—I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!”
Love didn’t hold back her criticism of Trump, labeling his administration “emperor-core,” “frightening,” and akin to “cyanide.”
“In terms of Trump, and particularly this group… it’s like emperor-core—like, [they’re] wearing million-dollar watches,” she exclaimed. “Emperor-core is going on at Mar-a-Lago. It’s frightening now. It’s like cyanide now.”
Love is the latest in the string of “Donald Dashers,” those pampered celebs threatening to abandon the land of the free because of Trump. This illustrious group includes Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O’Donnell, Eva Longoria, and Ryan Gosling.
Nevertheless, Love’s been based in London since 2019, well before Trump began his second term, leading many to suspect this is just another attention-seeking stunt.
Let’s be clear—no one’s forcing these individuals to remain in the United States against their will. Instead of trying to sabotage the core values of our great nation, perhaps they should relocate to a land more in line with their ideals. There are plenty of radically liberal nations to choose from.
