In a stunning display of judicial activism, an Obama-appointed judge, Chief Judge James Boasberg, has issued a controversial emergency injunction to stop the Trump administration’s efforts to deport dangerous Venezuelan gang members. This move has sparked outrage among conservatives who see it as a clear overreach of power.

Judge Boasberg’s temporary restraining order (TRO) halts the deportation of potentially dangerous aliens for 14 days, including members of the notorious Tren de Aragua gang. This decision follows desperate legal maneuvers by far-left groups like the ACLU and Democracy Forward, who aim to shield these illegal aliens from deportation under the Alien Enemies Act.

In an unprecedented order, Boasberg has demanded that planes already in the air be turned back to the United States. “Any plane containing these folks that is going to take off or is in the air needs to be returned to the United States however that is accomplished,” Boasberg stated, according to Politico.

The ACLU claims that two flights are en route to Central America, with one possibly already bound for El Salvador.

Conservative voices, including former Gorsuch clerk and Article III Project founder Mike Davis, have decried this judicial overreach. Davis questioned the judge’s authority, stating, “An activist Obama DC judge thinks he has the power to order the President to turn around planes deporting vicious Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang members?”

Mike Davis further called for bold action, suggesting it’s time to ignore these illegal orders and consider impeachment of these lawless judges.
