JD Vance speaking at Vantage Plastics

During a visit to Vantage Plastics, an essential pillar in America’s manufacturing landscape, Senator JD Vance delivered a powerful message not just about supporting homegrown companies but also criticized the ongoing protests outside the facility. Vance raised a compelling point, questioning why protesters weren’t at work, especially since it was late on a Friday afternoon, and stressed the need for a more constructive approach to the situation.

Emphasizing the revitalization of U.S. manufacturing, Vance highlighted that initiatives like those of Vantage Plastics pave the way for rebuilding our economy and offering well-paying jobs. Instead of hitting the streets in protest, he suggested focusing on employment opportunities that provide a positive and stable impact on individuals’ lives. Vance believes that joining a flourishing industry will yield greater benefits than demonstrating against it.

He further called for a more pragmatic approach to tackling social issues, asserting that the nation’s progress hinges on incentivizing individuals to actively engage in the economy through productive work. A society that prioritizes work over aimless protests is, according to Vance, key to fostering individual and collective prosperity. Job creation and strengthening the U.S. manufacturing sector are, in his view, critical steps to securing a stable and prosperous future for both workers and the nation.

JD Vance declared,

“We have this great event, this great facility, a great business, and of course, great workers. And I’m sure we all saw that there were some protesters outside. And I can’t be the only one wondering, you know, it’s a little past noon on a Friday, don’t they have jobs? Who are those people?

And I think that’s one of the reasons why we need to rebuild American manufacturing and support great companies like Vantage Plastics, because we want those people off the streets and back to work. It would be good for them, and it would also be good for everyone else.”
