Pittsburgh Steelers legend Antonio Brown issued his full endorsement of former President Donald Trump while speaking at a packed rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Brown — a multi-time NFL All-Pro and Super Bowl champion — was joined by fellow Steelers great Le’Veon Bell for a pre-rally event on Saturday. Both Bell and Brown will be hosting a pre-game tailgate and get-out-the-vote event ahead of the Steelers’ primetime clash with the New York Jets on Sunday. Trump will be attending the game as a “guest” of the Steelers after holding multiple rallies — and putting in a shift at McDonald’s — in the Pittsburgh area over the weekend.
For his part, Antonio Brown signed up as an official get-out-the-vote volunteer and was invited, alongside former teammates Le’Veon Bell and Mike Wallace, to join the former president onstage.

“Before I get too deep in my speech, I want to say, I know the media is going to call me crazy, me and Trump crazy for having me speaking here, but I want to make this clear. We are not, they are” Brown told the crowd after a shoutout to Steelers fans.
“You know, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, do you really know they want to put tampons in a boy’s bathroom? Is that crazy? That’s really insane, right? And by the way, tampon Tim Walz, he isn’t a real football coach,” the Steelers great continued, drawing laughs. “Guys, how is business? Business will be booming going against Tim Walz, tampon Tim Walz. It will be really booming going against him.”
He went on to praise the people of the Pittsburgh area, explaining that he came to the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick without much anticipation of success. “They knew what it was like to be an underdog. My time here taught me to embody the spirit of Pittsburgh, a blue collar, hardworking with people that are resilient and face challenges head on. I was blessed to be surrounded by these values,” the former NFL star said of Pittsburgh residents and fans.
Brown — whose NFL career was often undermined by off-the-field controversies — went on to praise the former president for his perseverance in dealing with a flood of legal, financial and personal attacks over the last decade. “But I’m here today repping a man, representing a man who carries those same values… Donald Trump,” the speech continued.
“He knows success, and he knows what it takes to make America great again. And to be real, we all have experienced highs and lows, especially me in my career as a Super Bowl champion and life as a father to seven amazing children. I have experienced low points and have to overcome adversity. Just how I watched Donald Trump overcome adversity. No matter what the media threw at him, no matter what people say to try to bring him down, he continued to push forward and kept getting back up. And he’s always ready for the fight.”
Brown concluded his remarks by leading the crowd in chants of, “fight, fight, fight.”
