Vice President Kamala Harris is facing criticism after telling a group of Christian protesters that they “had the wrong rally” during a Wisconsin campaign event.
While speaking to supporters in La Crosse, Wisconsin on Thursday, Harris repeated a number of false claims about former President Donald Trump’s stance on abortion. The Harris-Walz Campaign has continued to claim that Trump will sign an abortion ban, something both he and J.D. Vance have fully ruled out.
When the vice president claimed that Trump “hand-selected” the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe V. Wade, a member of the crowd yelled “that’s a lie!” The protesters also shouted “Jesus is Lord” and Christ is King,” at which point Harris waved them off and told them they were “at the wrong rally.
“No, I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.”

The incident took place just hours before Harris broke decades of precedence by skipping the Al Smith dinner in New York City, a historic event meant to cut down on extreme partisanship through humor. Proceeds from the event benefit Catholic charities.
“She doesn’t know what the hell she’s saying,” Trump said in reference to the Wisconsin incident, adding that Harris is “anti-religion.”
The Harris Campaign has attempted to claim that the protesters were not kicked out of the event, though footage uploaded by conservative activist Scott Dressler appears to paint a different picture. Multiple members of the crowd could be seen shoving one of the protesters as he was peacefully making his way out of the event.
BREAKING: We now have ANOTHER ANGLE of the people shouting “Christ is King… Jesus is Lord” at the Harris rally.
Afterward, she shouted at them, “You must be at the wrong rally.” They were kicked out.

The protesters later identified themselves as two students from La Crosse University. They stated that their intention was not to make a political statement or endorse a candidate, adding that their arm is to share pro-Christian content on a daily basis.
