In a bold move to protect international maritime commerce and reaffirm the United States’ dominance on the global stage, President Trump declared on Saturday that he has directed the U.S. military to execute a series of powerful strikes against Houthi militants in Yemen. These decisive actions come in response to the Houthis’ persistent threats to American and allied shipping in key strategic waterways.
Last month, these Iranian-backed insurgents attempted to target U.S. aircraft over the Red Sea with surface-to-air missiles, further escalating tensions. The time for a firm response has arrived.
BREAKING: Under President Trump’s orders, the U.S Navy’s Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group carried out an attack on a Houthi target in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. The strikes targeted the Houthis’ drones, air defenses, and missiles to free up Red Sea shipping lanes.

For over a year, the Houthis have been a thorn in the side of freedom, attacking U.S. and international ships, except for Chinese vessels, in a bid to disrupt global commerce. This aligns with their support for Hamas’ assault on Israel in October 2023. The previous administration failed to take a firm stance, allowing these acts of aggression to continue unchecked.
While the previous administration labeled the Houthis with a weak “specially designated global terrorists” status, President Trump has boldly reinstated their designation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), a move aimed at curbing their terrorist activities.
Promises Made, Promises Kept. Ansarallah, commonly referred to as the Houthis, is now designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, following their hundreds of attacks against commercial vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

President Trump’s clear and powerful statement on Truth Social underscored his commitment:
Today, I have ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen. They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones.
Joe Biden’s response was pathetically weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going. It has been over a year since a U.S. flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden. The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies.
The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective…
To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!
The air and naval strikes ordered by President Trump are a powerful testament to America’s resolve in maintaining freedom of navigation in international waters. This strategic campaign sends a clear message to the Houthis and their Iranian backers: the United States will not tolerate any threat to its security or that of its allies.
Our military’s precision strikes, led by the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group and Air Force attack planes, aim to dismantle the Houthis’ capabilities and restore order in the Red Sea. This initiative also serves as a stern warning to Iran, reminding them that America remains a formidable power ensuring peace through strength.
