Former President Donald Trump is expected to spend some time working in the kitchen at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s during a campaign event this weekend. Trump has previously raised doubts over Vice President Harris’ past employment at the fast food restaurant, something she has long touted as part of her “middle class family” talking points.
A source familiar with the campaign’s itinerary told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Trump will be serving up food at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s during a visit to the pivotal swing state on Sunday. The former president previously told supporters that he wanted to work as a fry cook to “see how it is” during a campaign event in Indiana, Pennsylvania last month. “I think I’m going to a McDonald’s in two weeks actually and I’m gonna work the french fries because I will have worked longer and harder at McDonald’s than she did if I do that even for a half-hour,” the Republican nominee said, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Trump is also expected to attend the Steelers-Jets NFL matchup during his third trip to the Keystone State this week.
The former president has long doubted Kamala Harris’ claims to have worked at the restaurant while working to obtain her undergraduate degree in the 1980’s. The campaign has referenced her alleged job at McDonald’s in numerous campaign ads since Harris become the de facto Democratic Party nominee back in July.
“We don’t want to hear fake promises, even something like she worked very long and hard hours over french fries at McDonalds,” Trump said during a late September rally in North Carolina. “She never worked at McDonald’s. It’s a fake story.”
Prior to his involvement in politics, Trump would opt to work service jobs throughout his real estate and business empire from time-to-time.
