Michelle Obama has made another foray into the media world with the launch of a brand new podcast alongside her brother, Craig Robinson. This fresh endeavor, the “IMO” podcast, is brought to you by Higher Ground, the media company owned by the Obamas.
“My brother Craig and I launched the IMO podcast to create a space for people to come as they are, ask honest questions, give their opinions, and have thoughtful conversations about life,” Michelle Obama declared earlier this week.
However, it’s their promotional antics on TikTok that have caught everyone’s attention for all the wrong reasons. In an awkward clip, Michelle introduces herself with, “Hey TikTok! It’s Michelle Obama and I’m here with my big brother, Craig!” Meanwhile, Craig awkwardly loomed in the background.
“Hey everybody!” Craig Robinson chimed in as if on cue.
Michelle continued with excitement, “We’re excited to announce the launch of our new podcast called ‘IMO’ with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson!”
Craig added, “And we just posted the trailer if you want to check it out!”

Despite the hype, the first episode didn’t quite hit the mark. After 15 hours of being live on YouTube, it had only amassed 13,000 views, a disappointment for such high-profile names.
In the premiere episode, Michelle Obama shared an eyebrow-raising tidbit about her husband, Barack. She revealed that his tardiness is a result of needing to visit the bathroom just as they’re supposed to leave for events.
Who says that, indeed?
