The March On PAC endorsed presumptive Democrat Senate nominee Graham Platner ahead of Maine’s Tuesday primary despite allegations he mistreated ex-girlfriends — because he backs abortion on demand.
The group, known for staging protests at the U.S. Capitol during the Kavanaugh hearings, says it has “deep roots in the Women’s March movement.” But its campaign to believe women apparently doesn’t extend to Senate races where the preferred candidate faces abuse claims.
The New York Times published an exposé last week featuring testimony alleging Platner was emotionally and physically abusive toward ex-girlfriends. Other reports linked the Maine Democrat to a Reddit account that appeared to downplay sexual assault.
“Graham Platner’s record, his values, and his commitment to the people of Maine have not changed. Susan Collins voted for the wars that sent him to fight. She has voted against healthcare, against reproductive rights, and for the interests of the wealthy and well-connected at every turn.”
March On claims it does not take the allegations “lightly” but is “standing firm” because Platner, unlike incumbent Sen. Susan Collins, supports “a strong federal guarantee of the right to choose.”
The self-proclaimed torchbearers of fourth-wave feminism reduced a race plagued with abuse allegations to the issue of abortion.
And they aren’t the only ones.
Democrats and their media allies quickly dismissed the allegations in an attempt to protect Platner’s carefully crafted “working-class” oyster farmer persona. Corporate media outlets have promoted the image despite the growing scandal.
The hypocrisy shouldn’t surprise anyone. To Democrats and their activist allies, feminism isn’t about celebrating women but treating pregnancy and raising children as obstacles to success.
One look at the mental, physical, and emotional devastation that stems from abortion — especially mail-order mifepristone — proves the opposite of what activists claim. Yet killing the unborn is promoted alongside false promises that reckless sex and career advancement matter more than marriage and family, even though data shows women with husbands and kids are happier.
Progressive feminism repackaged abortion during the sexual revolution as pro-women and directly laid the groundwork for the vast baby-killing industry. That same progressive feminism, through groups like March On, continues to prop abortion giants up by funding and endorsing Democrats who wish to bankroll ending life in the womb through all nine months in every state.
It’s groups like March On and their support for politicians like Platner that prove “feminists” love abortion more than women.
Maine’s primary takes place Tuesday.
