Despite these thrilling insights, some experts are raising their eyebrows, questioning the feasibility of such a mammoth discovery.
Professor Lawrence Conyers, a radar expert at the University of Denver, expressed skepticism, saying it’s a ‘huge exaggeration’ to think the technology could delve that deep.
Professor Conyers does, however, concede the possibility of smaller structures existing beneath these historical marvels, as ancient civilizations often regarded such sites as sacred.
This revelation comes from Corrado Malanga of Italy’s University of Pisa, and Filippo Biondi with the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. Although their findings are not yet published in scientific journals, the implications are monumental.
