Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed commendation for President Trump following their recent dialogue focused on resolving the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Putin acknowledged Trump’s efforts to mend the fractured relations between Russia and the U.S., which had been significantly strained during Joe Biden’s presidency.
Under Biden’s leadership and the influence of the deep state, the world teetered on the edge of a potential World War III. However, Putin is optimistic about the future with the new administration.

Putin elaborated on the complexity of the situation but noted progress following his recent phone call with President Trump. The Russian leader also referenced the humanitarian plea from Trump regarding Ukrainian servicemen surrounded by Russian forces.
Putin highlighted the crimes committed by Ukrainian militants against civilians, classified by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office as terrorism. Despite this, he assured that, should the Ukrainian forces surrender, they would be treated humanely, in line with international and Russian laws.
For the U.S. President’s humanitarian appeal to be effective, Putin emphasized the necessity for Ukrainian military units to lay down arms and surrender.
