

In a move that has left many scratching their heads, Senator Bernie Sanders is urging his supporters to don masks for an upcoming outdoor event in Denver, Colorado. This is despite the pandemic being largely considered a thing of the past.
An email unearthed by journalist Stephen L. Miller reveals that Sanders’ team is advising attendees to mask up and avoid the event if they have COVID-19 symptoms. It reads: “Masks are advised for all attendees of this event,” suggesting an overabundance of caution that feels out of step with the current reality. The email further states, “Anyone experiencing a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19 is asked to stay home and not attend.”
In addition to these guidelines, attendees are warned against bringing bags, signs, or firearms.
