59% of Democrats support a military coup against the Trump administration, the polling data shows. Stark majorities want top administration officials arrested and imprisoned. Nearly 70% want the Supreme Court packed. These numbers suggest that significant portions of one major political party now view extra-constitutional measures as legitimate responses to electoral outcomes they oppose—a departure from democratic norms that have governed American political life for generations.
The party that slaps “coexist” bumper stickers on Priuses apparently wants gulags, show trials, and public executions for anyone who voted red. The contradiction between professed values of tolerance and the authoritarian impulses revealed in this polling data highlights a cognitive dissonance that has become characteristic of contemporary progressive politics.

Curtis Yarvin recently appeared on the Michael Malice podcast and laid out what a 2028 Democrat victory would look like. His forecast wasn’t optimistic. Yarvin, a controversial political theorist known for his critiques of democratic governance, has emerged as an unlikely prophet of authoritarian trends he sees developing across the political spectrum.
“Number one, they’re going to do a full January 6 assembly-line prosecution of everyone. There will be some random bullshit charge,” Yarvin said. “Everyone they can find, just massive, massive prosecutions.”
“And then you’re going to see mass migration,” he continued. “8 figures and up. Per year. Very very easy to work the system so they’re allowing 20 million third worlders in every year.”
“Of course they won’t be citizens right away, but then the Democrats are going to be doing everything possible to facilitate ballot stuffing and all of their favorite little, undiscoverable things,” Yarvin added.
His predictions, while speculative, find uncomfortable resonance in the polling data showing Democratic appetite for investigating and prosecuting political opponents alongside massive increases in immigration levels—policy preferences that would fundamentally reshape the American electorate and political landscape.
The same poll asked Democrats about their 2028 presidential preferences. The results are almost comical.
Mr. Rogers — the deceased children’s television host — polls higher than their leading candidate.
