Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche dismantled Democrat claims that the Trump administration hasn’t been transparent about Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes during his Senate confirmation hearing Wednesday.
Blanche revealed the Trump administration made 3 million pages from the Epstein files available to Congress — with unredacted versions delivered to every member.
The contrast with the Biden years was stark.
“Remember, for four years there wasn’t a peep about Jeffrey Epstein,” Blanche told the Senate. “The Biden administration did nothing to be transparent about the Epstein case.”
“We made unredacted versions of the entire database available to everybody in this body, and we did that because of transparency.”
According to Blanche, he isn’t aware of a single document that is “responsive” or relevant that hasn’t been released. Millions of pages have also been made available to the public.
“We have been extraordinarily transparent in not only producing the records, but letting unredacted versions be available to anybody in this body,” Blanche continued. “And if after reviewing unredacted materials a member had concerns about why something was redacted, they brought them to the department’s attention and we addressed that.”
Blanche made clear this administration’s record stands alone.
“I want to make sure the American people know that this administration, when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, has been more transparent than any past administration, than Biden was, or anybody else,” he said.

The AG nominee also fired back at claims the administration isn’t listening to Epstein’s victims.
“We will never, never not talk to victims,” Blanche said. “We will never fail to do everything we can to prosecute anybody who committed any crimes against any of these women, so that narrative is false.”
Blanche revealed the administration has spoken with over 30 representatives of dozens of victims since the process started.
“Any victim, if they’re here today, I would encourage them, or their lawyers, to meet with the FBI. We will 100% investigate,” Blanche said.
“There are no closed investigations. If we learn today, if we learn next week, if we learn next month that there’s an individual who we can investigate, indict, and prosecute out of the Epstein files, you better believe that we will.”

Blanche is a veteran former federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York who joined Trump’s legal team in April 2023. He has been serving as acting attorney general since April.
During his opening statement, Blanche emphasized the spike in criminal arrests under the Trump administration, specifically highlighting sweeping changes brought to Washington, D.C., and Memphis.
“We are keeping America safe, and we are just getting started,” Blanche stated.
The nominee also said he will focus on keeping the nation’s borders secure and keeping drugs out of the U.S.
