President Donald Trump has taken another bold step by signing a decisive executive order, making it clear that the American justice system will not be used as a political weapon. This order mandates a thorough federal investigation into Susman Godfrey LLP—the firm synonymous with the 2020 election defamation cases linked to Dominion Voting Systems.

The Department of Justice, alongside the Office of Management and Budget and intelligence agencies, has been directed to start a comprehensive investigation into Susman Godfrey. The firm stands accused of engaging in “egregious conduct” and “weaponizing the legal system” to target political opponents.

This executive order is a part of President Trump’s broader campaign to dismantle what he terms the “legal-industrial complex”—a network of legal entities working closely with entrenched bureaucrats and far-left political forces.

The six-section order sets forth immediate actions:

  • Section 1: Condemns the firm’s support of radical “diversity, equity, and inclusion” policies, labeling them “un-American and unlawful.”
  • Section 2: Suspends security clearances of Susman employees and revokes their access to government resources.
  • Section 3: Initiates a freeze on federal contracts involving Susman, with a push to cancel where feasible.
  • Section 4: Links these actions to a wider effort to eliminate race-based hiring in federal contracts.
  • Section 5: Bars Susman personnel from federal buildings and government employment sans high-level waivers.
  • Section 6: Stipulates that the order be enforced to safeguard national security and uphold existing laws.

White House staff secretary Will Scharf emphasized the administration’s resolve: “This is about rooting out law firms that use our justice system as a political weapon.”

Susman Godfrey joins a list of legal firms facing ramifications under President Trump’s initiative, including:

  • Covington & Burling: Known for representing Hunter Biden and lobbying for Chinese tech companies.
  • Perkins Coie: Associated with Hillary Clinton and the infamous Steele Dossier.
  • Paul Weiss, Jenner & Block, WilmerHale: Key players in guarding corporate and political elites from accountability.
