In a dramatic victory for justice, Florida’s authorities have dismantled a vast international child pornography ring, seizing over a million sickening videos and images depicting the abuse of innocent children, including infants.

This groundbreaking operation involved eight individuals—seven from Florida and one from Turkey—who now face serious legal consequences for their participation in this appalling criminal enterprise.

The operation was led by Florida’s Statewide Prosecution and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), uncovering a dark web network with links to Turkey. The alleged mastermind, Emre Bozuyuk, reportedly laundered money through hacked financial accounts. Disturbingly, many consumers accessed this vile content via TikTok.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, himself a father, expressed his outrage at a press conference, vowing to ensure these offenders “never see the sun again.”

Busting an international child pornography ring. We will be bringing charges against eight individuals this morning, seven of whom are Florida residents. As a dad of three little ones, it’s tough to talk about some of this stuff, but what these guys were doing was truly heinous. There’s not a word in the English dictionary that can describe the gross content that was on the videos.

— Attorney General James Uthmeier

Our investigators have seized over a million videos depicting the sexual abuse of minors, many of whom were infants. The 2023 National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported over 36 million suspected child sexual exploitation instances and over 100 million files related to child sex abuse material. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

The challenge of protecting our children is compounded by the internet and social media, which predators exploit to reach victims. Uthmeier emphasized that confronting this issue is a top priority for his office.

Shockingly, many viewers discovered this content through TikTok. Despite being able to quickly remove unlicensed music, TikTok has taken too long to address harmful content. It’s time for social media platforms to be accountable for safeguarding families and children.

The charges against the defendants are substantial, including RICO, money laundering, and purchasing child pornography. Here are the individuals involved:

  • Krunal Kumar Nareshbhai Modi from New Jersey, facing RICO, conspiracy to commit RICO, and money laundering charges.
  • Frankie Piniero, Jr. from Groveland, Florida, charged with conspiracy to commit RICO, purchase of child pornography, and use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony.
  • Brett Ryan Moore from Orange City, similarly charged.
  • Israel Cole Thompson from Lakeland, similarly charged.
  • Brett Allen Snodderly from Clearwater, similarly charged.
  • Jacob Ross Conly from Fern Park, similarly charged.
  • Kody Vance Jordan Muti from Palm Bay, similarly charged.
  • Michael Andrew Warren from Kissimmee, similarly charged.

Arrest warrants were also issued for Bozuyuk and Xiomara Del Real Maqueda in Oregon, with charges ranging from RICO to the promotion of sexual performance by a child.
