The powerful momentum behind the movement to secure reparations for January 6 victims is becoming unstoppable. Thanks to President Donald Trump’s pardons, many patriots who suffered unjustly are now joining forces with powerhouse attorneys Peter Ticktin and Mark T. McCloskey to claim justice for the wrongs they endured.
Stepping up alongside them is the American Rights Alliance (ARA), a dedicated team of legal experts fighting to restore the rights and dignity of those persecuted in the aftermath of the Capitol protests. Founded by First Amendment advocate Evan Turk and fueled by funds from Donald Trump Jr.’s sale of President Trump’s iconic mugshot T-shirts, ARA amplifies this critical mission.
As Turk shared, “These people lost years of their lives, their livelihoods, and their ability to support their families. This should never have happened.” ARA’s assistance is pivotal, providing transitional support for pardoned J6ers, such as housing and employment, while also working on legal fronts to highlight constitutional violations.
“These people lost years of their lives and their ability to support their family,” Turk explicated, adding that the J6 story shouldn’t end with their pardons. “I don’t want the message to be, well, you’re free now. You’re free to go,” he said. “The message should be, this should never have happened in the first place, and we’re here for you.”
Currently representing heroes like Couy Griffin, who faced persecution under unjust charges, ARA is committed to achieving justice and accountability.
Ticktin and McCloskey are preparing legal actions against the U.S. Government to secure the justice these patriots deserve. The reasons are clear:
- The U.S. Government has the means to pay promptly.
- The victims need immediate relief.
- The government must restore its duty to protect citizens.
The term “reparations” may stir debate, yet it perfectly describes the restoration of justice. The J6 victims experienced:
- Solitary confinement in harsh conditions
- Blacklisting and loss of livelihoods
- Ruined personal relationships and reputations
- Stripped veterans benefits
- Confiscated legal defense funds
- Trampled constitutional rights
Ticktin and McCloskey aim not just to restore victims but to seek accountability from those responsible, from federal agencies to media outlets that spread false narratives.
This is a battle for justice, not charity. As Ticktin emphasizes, “Reparations must be paid — reparations to cause the repair.”
The real insurrection, according to McCloskey, was orchestrated by the government itself. Evidence of provocateurs and federal informants reveals a premeditated entrapment of peaceful protesters. The truth is surfacing, and with it, a call to restore the lives shattered by these injustices.
Momentum is building. ARA’s efforts are gaining traction, with initiatives ensuring such abuses never recur. Awareness is rising, and the American spirit of justice is awakened.
If we, the people, do not stand up for these victims, who will? Justice is calling, and our response will define our nation’s future. Let us unite to secure reparations now, and seek accountability later.
