The Trump administration is once again showing its commitment to making America great for both its citizens and animals. This time, it’s by axing $2.5 million more in National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants that were funding questionable transgender animal experiments. These grants were initially handed out to Harvard University researchers under the Biden Administration. Thanks to the vigilance of White Coat Waste (WCW), a watchdog organization dedicated to ending cruel and wasteful animal testing, these practices have been brought to light.

The now-canceled grants included a $299,240 project that sought to create “transmasculine” lab animals by administering testosterone to female mice and removing their ovaries. Another $442,444 grant involved sterilizing animals, injecting them with hormone therapies, and wounding them to simulate gender-affirming surgeries for transgender humans.
WCW’s efforts have revealed that the $442,444 grant was slated to run until 2029, anticipating an additional $2.2 million in funding. Despite attempts by liberal media to obfuscate the truth, suggesting that President Trump misunderstood “transgenic” for “transgender,” WCW has consistently disproven these claims.

Anthony Bellotti, president and founder of the White Coat Waste Project, proudly announced, “Our blockbuster investigation has prompted President Trump and DOGE to slash millions in wasteful spending aimed at creating transgender lab animals through sterilization, hormone therapies, and invasive surgeries, then subjecting them to open wounds, electroshocks, and other painful and deadly experiments.”
Bellotti continued, highlighting the victory for taxpayers and animals, despite the mainstream media’s misleading narratives. He emphasized that transgender animal experiments are both real and wasteful, with the solution being straightforward: stop the funding, stop the insanity!
The Department of Government Efficiency, under Trump’s leadership, has now terminated nine transgender animal testing grants identified by WCW, saving taxpayers nearly $10 million.
WCW’s ongoing scrutiny of federal expenditure continues to uncover numerous other grants supporting transgender animal tests funded by the NIH, National Science Foundation, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
In recent discussions, Elon Musk and Joe Rogan have also addressed these wasteful NIH-funded transgender animal experiments and Fauci’s beagle tests, initially reported in 2021. Musk didn’t mince words, describing these taxpayer-funded labs as “mutilating animals in demented studies that are like the worst thing you can imagine from a horror show.”
