In a stunning turn of events, the Romanian government and judiciary have reportedly colluded to cancel elections and block conservative stalwart Călin Georgescu from running. This underhanded move has ignited a firestorm of protest in the capital city of Bucharest and beyond.
But the spirit of Romanian patriots cannot be so easily quashed. Rallying around the banner of national unity, Georgescu and his supporters have thrown their weight behind MP George Simion. Simion’s candidacy is gaining momentum as he is championed by the sovereignists dedicated to Romania’s independence from globalist influences.

The critical question facing Romania now is whether the establishment will strike again to sabotage Simion’s candidacy. For now, Simion remains in the race.
According to Politico:
“Romanian far-right party leader George Simion has been cleared to run in the country’s tense presidential do-over vote in May. Romania’s electoral bureau announced the decision in a statement on Saturday.”
First ruling of the Court: I was admitted to run for the presidential elections.

Simion initially stepped down in favor of Georgescu, but when Georgescu was unfairly barred from the May elections, he reignited his campaign with renewed vigor.
