West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey signs a significant bill defining ‘man’ and ‘woman’ based on biology.

In a bold move against radical gender ideologies, West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey has signed a groundbreaking law that defines “man” and “woman” based on biological criteria. The legislation strictly interprets these terms through reproductive biology, focusing on the physical attributes present at birth rather than gender identity.

“West Virginia will not bow down to radical gender ideology,” declared Morrisey during the signing ceremony, making a strong statement in favor of traditional values.

According to this new law, the state of West Virginia makes it clear that a “man” is identified as someone born with male reproductive organs, while a “woman” is defined as an individual with female reproductive organs. This clear distinction is set to ensure clarity and consistency across state-regulated spaces.

Furthermore, the legislation mandates that multi-occupancy facilities such as restrooms and locker rooms are to be designated based on these biological definitions, ensuring privacy and safety. “It’s common sense that women’s spaces, like bathrooms, locker rooms, domestic violence shelters, and rape crisis centers, should be kept private for women only,” Morrisey emphasized.

Despite criticism from Democrats who argued that the bill could lead to invasive practices in schools, the legislation was amended to clarify that a minor’s sex would be verified using their birth certificate. “Biological sex of a minor would be determined at the time of the minor’s birth,” stated West Virginia Senate Majority Leader Patrick Martin, reinforcing the law’s emphasis on biological determinism.
