In an eyebrow-raising proclamation, Minnesota’s Democratic Governor Tim Walz, who humorously contrasts his running mate Kamala Harris, has suggested a bold strategy—forming a “shadow government.” This statement was made in a recent clip shared on the social media platform X, where Walz addressed a small group of supporters, proposing this alternative government as a response to President Donald Trump’s administration.
Walz expressed concern stating, “We see one of the first things they do is try and restrict the vote.” Though he didn’t provide specifics, it was apparent he referenced President Trump’s executive order aimed at enforcing laws to prevent non-citizens from voting, ensuring only mail-in ballots received by Election Day count. Naturally, Democrats oppose measures that thwart election fraud.
The governor admitted uncertainty about addressing these challenges but suggested a potential strategy. “I think we need a shadow government,” he proposed, a system to counteract perceived misinformation.
Unhinged loser @GovTimWalz wants to form a “shadow government” in protest of requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration and banning foreign nationals from interfering in elections:

While “shadow government” may sound treasonous, Walz likely envisions a “Shadow Cabinet” similar to the UK’s parliamentary system. There, the opposition organizes a senior team to counter the ruling party, portraying themselves as an alternative government.
Walz seems to suggest that the Democrats’ issues stem not from unpopular policies but from disorganized messaging. During his speech, the former vice-presidential candidate emphasized the need for bolder support of policies Americans have rejected.
Walz stated in another X clip, “We’ve been talking about this for years as a country of immigrants. And we let them define the issue on immigration.” Supposedly, Democrats allowed Republicans to highlight the border crisis seen by many Americans.
Furthermore, Walz argued that if Democrats proudly defended DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and wokeness, Americans would embrace them. “We let them define the issue on DEI. And we let them define what woke is. We got ourselves in this mess because we weren’t bold enough to stand up and say ‘You’re d*** right, we’re proud of these policies. We’re gonna put them in, and we’re gonna execute them.'”
NEW: Tim Walz says Democrats are losing elections because they’re not pushing hard enough in favor of DEI, wokeism, and allowing illegal immigration. Wow, this guy is brilliant and totally right. He should run in 2028. “We let them define the issue on immigration. We let them…

Despite Walz’s endorsement of his party’s failed ideas, the claim that Democrats need a more organized messaging effort is laughable. For years, the opposite has been true. Democrats have dominated the media landscape, with the mainstream media, Hollywood, and academia backing their policies.
So yes, by all means, let these unpopular Democratic figures take the stage regularly. If they echo Walz’s sentiments, perhaps it will indeed benefit their party—though not likely as intended.
