Before moving to the U.S., Khalil worked at the British Embassy in Beirut, aiding diplomats with his expertise in languages and local intricacies. He held a security clearance from the British government, working on a project tied to a prominent UK soft power initiative.
In 2022, Khalil arrived in New York City on a student visa, enrolling at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), a school renowned for grooming future leaders in international affairs and security—a talent pool often scouted by the CIA.
