Letitia James faces mounting legal questions.

In an unfolding saga of legal challenges, New York Attorney General Letitia James finds herself in the spotlight once again as conservative reporters investigate her two Norfolk, Virginia residences. Their visits have only intensified questions surrounding her activities.

The Trump Administration has taken action by referring James to the Justice Department over allegations of mortgage fraud. The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) accuses her of falsifying records, specifically concerning a 5-unit property in New York that she described as only four units to secure a better loan. This property in Brooklyn, acquired by James in 2001, is now under scrutiny.

Adding to the intrigue, it has come to light that James has declared a two-story house at 604 Sterling Street in Norfolk, Virginia, as her primary residence, despite her New York Attorney General role. Purchased for $240,000 with a $219,780 mortgage, the property is co-owned with Thompson-Hairston in joint tenancy. The house, built in 1947, spans 1,450 square feet with three bedrooms and a bathroom, with the deed signed on August 30, 2023.

Reports indicate James also acquired a second Norfolk residence in 2020, financed through a mortgage not disclosed in her financial statements from 2020 to 2023, as noted by the Daily Caller. This raises further questions about her financial transparency.

This week, The Daily Caller’s reporters took to southern Virginia to uncover whether James resides at either of these homes. Their findings, while not shocking, are significant.

Upon visiting James’s declared “primary residence,” reporters found drawn blinds and no sign of James. An irate female confronted them, alleging trespassing, although they were on a public sidewalk. Despite assurances from the reporters that they were merely seeking information on the home’s occupants, the woman refused to respond and continued her accusations.

A neighbor reported seeing a black female and children at the home but did not recognize James. Another neighbor confirmed James’s absence from the residence.

At a second Norfolk address linked to James, reporters encountered two individuals on the porch, neither identified as the Attorney General. One resident accused the reporter of trespassing and disturbing her children, while the reporter clarified his intent to learn the occupants’ identities. The resident, however, remained uncooperative.

The Daily Caller also found neighbors at this second location had minimal knowledge about its inhabitants.

These visits raise pressing questions:

  • Are the residents following a script, given the identical trespassing accusations?
  • Do the residents have a direct connection with James, possibly including financial incentives?
  • Why were the blinds entirely closed at James’s declared primary residence?
  • Why is there such little neighborly awareness about those residing at James’s second Norfolk property?

While mainstream media may shy away from these inquiries, trust that the Trump Administration will persist in uncovering the truth.
