In a powerful display of leadership, President Trump expertly silenced one of his most persistent critics in the corporate media, Kaitlan Collins, after she attempted to ambush him over a fabricated media ‘scandal’ linked to his national security team.
Jeffrey Goldberg, known for his anti-Trump stance, claimed without proof that he was “accidentally” added to a secure Signal group chat by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz. This group, dubbed the “Houthi PC small group,” allegedly included key Trump administration figures like Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President JD Vance, who were discussing military operations against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen.
Instead of withdrawing quietly, Goldberg captured screenshots of the conversation and attempted to leak details of the military operation, embodying the classic deep-state, Trump-opposing ‘reporter’ behavior. Despite pressure from Goldberg’s media allies and Democrats, President Trump steadfastly supported Waltz.
“Michael Waltz has learned a lesson, and he’s a good man,” Trump asserted to NBC News. “Goldberg’s presence had no impact at all on the military operation,” he added, dismissing the supposed scandal’s significance.
During a White House press conference, CNN’s Kaitlan Collins tried to stir the pot again, but President Trump was ready. As she asked, “Mr. President, you said that your national security advisor learned a lesson after a reporter…”, Trump intervened decisively.
“Excuse me, I didn’t pick you,” Trump cut in, effectively shutting down her attempt to reignite the narrative. “Next, please.”
