The commotion started following a report by the Atlantic that Goldberg was “accidentally” added to a Signal chat thread discussing military strategies concerning the Houthis in Yemen. However, Trump assured that Goldberg’s unintended involvement did not affect military operations, clarifying that it was a staffer from Waltz’s team who had Goldberg’s contact.
