On a bold Tuesday move, President Trump showcased his support for American innovation by having a shiny red Tesla delivered to the White House. He declared this gesture was meant to “make a statement” on behalf of Elon Musk, and to highlight the fight against waste, fraud, and abuse in federal spending.
Earlier, President Trump took to Truth Social to announce his plan to purchase the Tesla, a move that aligns with the spirit of patriotism and confidence in American entrepreneurs.

Amidst threats and opposition from those against his reforms, and attacks on his businesses, President Trump’s leadership continues to shine through with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The left, once fans of Tesla’s innovation, have turned to boycotts and protests.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed during a press conference that the Tesla was on its way, and the President was committed to making the purchase.
Upon arrival, President Trump addressed the press, championing Musk and criticizing those who unfairly target him and Tesla.
Peter Doocy: Hello, President Trump, are you looking to buy or lease today?
Trump: I’m going to buy because, number one, it’s a great product, as good as it gets. And number two, because this man has devoted his energy and his life to doing this, and I think he’s been treated very unfairly by a very small group of people.
And because he’s able to find billions and billions and billions of dollars of fraud and waste and all of the things, I mean, our country is going to be very strong very soon because of a lot of the things that he’s done, and a lot of the things that I’m doing. And there’s no better team, but there’s no better— for what we’re doing, there’s nobody like this, and he shouldn’t be penalized. And what I watched the other day, I said, I can’t believe it. It should be the opposite. People should be going wild, and they love the product, but because he’s finding all sorts of terrible things that have taken place against our country, they want to penalize them in an economic sense. And I just think that’s very unfair. So, I just want to make a statement. I’m going to buy one.
With a triumphant “Beautiful!” President Trump took the wheel of the Tesla, likely experiencing its futuristic features for the first time. As he stepped out, he jested about his predecessor, asking, “You think Biden could get into that car? I don’t think so.”
