In a powerful move to protect American taxpayers, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced a partnership with Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to tackle Medicaid fraud. Speaking to Fox’s Martha MacCallum, RFK Jr. emphasized the importance of safeguarding Medicaid while enhancing services for the nation’s most vulnerable.
“We think we’re going to be able to identify it and eliminate it while, incidentally, protecting the Medicaid—while protecting the Medicaid program and improving services to our poorest Americans,” RFK Jr. stated after a crucial Cabinet meeting.
Kennedy also highlighted a groundbreaking initiative to uncover the causes of the autism crisis in America by September, following directives from President Donald Trump.

RFK Jr. further revealed, “We have DOGE working with us, and they’ve been really extraordinary about finding fraud in all of the agencies.”
This announcement comes amidst political clashes over the budget resolution, which House Speaker Mike Johnson insists does not cut Medicaid benefits, despite Democratic claims. Johnson pointed to the staggering $50 billion annual loss due to Medicaid fraud.
Revelations from a DOGE official last week showed that illegal aliens, including those with violent histories, are benefiting from government programs such as Medicaid and are even participating in voting processes.
Antonio Gracias, executive of DOGE and founder of Valor Equity Partners, stated, “1.3 million of them are on Medicaid right now, today.”
Elon Musk has been vocal against the media’s portrayal of Medicaid cuts under President Trump, asserting that, “DOGE will make sure you get your Medicaid. There will be no cuts to legitimate payments whatsoever.”
Similarly, Kennedy asserted that eliminating waste and fraud will protect Medicaid and save taxpayer dollars.

MaCaullum: You oversee the Medicaid program. Do you think—they’re looking for $880 billion in savings over 10 years. The fraud number is somewhere between 30 and $50 billion a year. Do you think that they can cut that money out of Medicaid, and is it something you support, those cuts?
RFK: I certainly support any cut of waste, or misuse, or fraud, and we’re in a very good position now to identify that and to eliminate it because we have DOGE working with us, and they’ve been really extraordinary about finding fraud in all of the agencies. And, you know, they’re being very helpful with us. So, we think we’re going to be able to identify it and eliminate it while, incidentally, protecting the Medicaid—while protecting the Medicaid program and improving services to our poorest Americans.
