In a shocking act of intimidation, a radical “Free Palestine” extremist targeted the family of the esteemed U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett with a terrifying bomb threat. The threat was directed at her sister, Amanda Coney Williams, via a disturbing email.

According to WYFF, the Charleston Police Department responded to the threat at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday. An email sent late Sunday night to a Charleston County Sheriff’s Office employee claimed a homemade explosive device had been placed in Williams’ mailbox.

The chilling email stated:

“Using a 1×8-inch threaded galvanized pipe, end caps, a kitchen timer, some wires, metal clips, and homemade black powder, I’ve constructed a pipe bomb which I recently placed in Amy Coney Barrett’s sister’s mailbox at her home in Charleston, SC.

The device’s detonation will be triggered as soon as the mailbox is next opened. Free Palestine!”

Responding swiftly, Charleston law enforcement carried out an exhaustive investigation at Williams’ residence. Thankfully, their efforts confirmed no explosive device was present, and the threat was deemed a false alarm.

Amanda’s husband, David Williams, reported to authorities that while they were uncertain who might be targeting them, they had noticed unusual activity over the weekend. Notably, several homes associated with Barrett’s family received unsolicited pizza deliveries—a tactic seemingly used to verify their locations.

As Reuters reports:

Several federal judges in the Washington, D.C., area received pizzas sent anonymously to their homes, which was interpreted by law enforcement as a form of intimidation meant to convey that a target’s address is known, Reuters reported, citing a person familiar with the judicial security environment.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Federal Judges Association expressed grave concern over the increasing threats and intimidation tactics aimed at the judiciary, specifically highlighting the threat against Barrett.

Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated incident. Conservative Supreme Court Justices and their families have faced similar attacks in the past. Following the reversal of Roe v. Wade, aggressive left-wing protests erupted outside their homes, with some radicals even plotting assassination attempts.

Justice Brett Kavanaugh was nearly a victim of such an attack when a leftist armed with a weapon was apprehended outside his home in 2022. Read more about this incident here.
