Mississippi has triumphantly abolished its state income tax, marking a historic victory for economic freedom and limited government.

“We did it, Mississippi!” expressed Governor Reeves in an exuberant post on X. “We just eliminated the income tax!”

While Washington continues to burden Americans with high taxes, inflation, and unchecked spending, Mississippi is blazing a new trail by returning power and prosperity back to its people.

The United States now boasts a total of ten states that do not impose a state income tax. These states include:

  • Alaska
  • Florida
  • Nevada
  • New Hampshire
  • South Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Washington
