Joseph Knowles expresses his views after leaving the Democrat Party.

Joseph Knowles, a Michigan autoworker and lifelong Democrat, attended President Trump’s address to Congress as a special guest. Witnessing the Democrats’ conduct during the speech confirmed for him that switching to the Republican Party was the right decision.

The Democrats’ decision to abstain from honoring a pediatric cancer survivor, or the mother of a child tragically lost to illegal immigrants, showcased their priorities. Their display, complete with pink attire and protest signs, was a global embarrassment.

Particularly distressing was Representative Al Green (D-TX), who disrupted the proceedings with a public tantrum, prompting Speaker Mike Johnson to have him removed for his disgraceful behavior.

Knowles shared his disappointment with Fox News’ America Reports, stating, “I’m very disappointed in the Democrats on how they handled things.” He continued, “I feel like I made a damn good choice of not voting for them anymore, and I’m very proud of how Donald Trump handled it.”

Explaining his political shift, Knowles cited the Democrats’ disconnect from the working-class agenda, which they claim to support. “They’re out-of-touch, and I can no longer support an organization or a political party like that,” he asserted.

Regarding the Democrats’ refusal to honor ordinary Americans, he remarked, “That just shows you how out-of-touch they are. Because this doesn’t matter if you are Republican or Democrat, or Black and White — doesn’t matter.” He emphasized the importance of recognizing human lives and criticized the Democrats for failing to stand up for those who have suffered personal losses.

When asked if he’d consider returning to the Democrats, Knowles was resolute. “I got very good hope for the Republican Party. I mean, more and more people are seeing the true colors of the Democrats. And it took me, I’m sorry, 20 years to see that, and I woke up. I’m very confident the American people will wake up too.”

With conviction, he stated, “I’m gone forever. I’ve seen enough, and this — what I saw — this isn’t brand new. This has been going on for a long time.”

Knowles concluded with a powerful sentiment about the Democrats: “They put their agenda first, and that’s all they care about.”
