The Federal Housing Finance Agency has pointedly accused James of falsifying records for a property in New York. By misrepresenting a 5-unit property as only four, she allegedly secured a more favorable loan.
Reports have surfaced detailing James’ 2001 purchase of a Brooklyn property, where for over two decades she is said to have misrepresented the unit count on mortgage applications, despite official records confirming it was a five-unit building.
