FBI Director Kash Patel delivers a stellar performance at Capitol Hill.

FBI Director Kash Patel showcased his prowess during a riveting testimony on Capitol Hill, where he silenced a Pennsylvania congresswoman’s attempt to provoke an investigation into the Trump Administration over a Signal chat incident involving leaked military plans against the Houthis.

Recently, Jeffrey Goldberg, the anti-Trump editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, claimed he was mistakenly added to a secure Signal chat by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz. This chat supposedly involved high-ranking Trump officials discussing sensitive operations against the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, which Goldberg labeled as “war plans.”

Rather than excusing himself from the chat, Goldberg took the opportunity to screenshot the conversation and attempt to expose the military operation. The Trump team quickly responded, branding Goldberg a liar and affirming no war plans were discussed. Despite this, Goldberg and colleague Shane Harris tried to counter by publishing details of the plans, inadvertently confirming Team Trump’s claims.

During a House hearing with intelligence leaders, Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) demanded Patel investigate the leak, seemingly aiming to create friction between him and President Trump.

“Now that another day has passed, do you think it’s time for the FBI to open an investigation (into the leak)?” Houlahan asked.

Patel firmly replied, “I’m not going to comment on that.”

Houlahan persisted, questioning Patel’s stance as FBI director. Unfazed, Patel schooled the congresswoman on standard investigative procedures.

“Because there’s a process in place. There’s ongoing litigation, and The National Security Council is reviewing this matter,” Patel explained. “And I’m not going to discuss any open or closed investigations.”

Unsatisfied, Houlahan whined about the timing of the lawsuit, to which Patel delivered a powerful response:

“No, it’s not. I’m not going to prejudge any matter, and the men and women of the FBI will call the balls and strikes. Not you,” Patel countered, effectively silencing her.

Houlahan attempted to reclaim her time, but Patel’s decisive handling of her interrogation left her with none to spare.
