Iran-backed Houthi terrorists have launched a bold retaliation against the USS Harry S. Truman, marking a significant escalation in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea. Just hours after President Trump demonstrated his unwavering “peace through strength” principle by authorizing a decisive military response, the Houthis struck back with a fierce barrage of 18 ballistic and cruise missiles, coupled with drone attacks.

President Trump, standing firm in his MAGA hat alongside top military officials, authorized this calculated response against the Houthi rebels in Yemen, underscoring America’s resolve to restore deterrence in the region.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth appeared on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo, emphasizing that the days of appeasement are over. “An era of peace through strength is back,” Hegseth declared, criticizing four years of inaction under Joe Biden.

“This campaign is about freedom of navigation and restoring deterrence,” Hegseth stated. “We will not be nice about it. This is not the Biden administration. We will come after the Houthis until they stop shooting at our ships and the Iranians better stay out of it,” he warned.

The Iran-backed Houthis, unsurprisingly, have vowed revenge. Their military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, confirmed a direct assault on the USS Harry S. Truman, employing ballistic and cruise missiles, along with drone attacks.

Meanwhile, Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi threatened to target Israeli shipping and declared American ships banned from entering the Red Sea. The extent of the damage remains undisclosed by the U.S. military.

President Trump has vowed to use “overwhelming lethal force” to ensure the Houthis cease their attacks along this vital maritime corridor, proving once again that he means business.
