In a shocking incident at the Aventura Mall near Miami, Florida, Yamaris Marrero has been charged with felony criminal mischief after vandalizing a Tesla, causing an estimated $2,623.66 in damage. This brazen act involved using a “large wad” of gum to damage the vehicle’s door handle, an action caught on the Tesla’s cameras.
Initially, Marrero faced second-degree felony charges with a hate crime enhancement, but these were reduced in bond court to a third-degree felony. She was reportedly spotted by a vigilant security guard on March 27 after she returned to the mall’s food court.
Such attacks are part of a disturbing trend of violence against Tesla vehicles, seemingly fueled by radical leftist rhetoric against President Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s efforts to cut waste and inefficiency in government spending. This incident mirrors other despicable acts, including a recent report of a vandal smearing feces on a Tesla Cybertruck.
“There was no personal interaction,” the victim, who did not want to be identified, said. “Unfortunately, a divide in our country where certain views are not accepted by a subset.”

Notably, Tesla stores have also faced aggression from the liberal mob, including a violent attack with Molotov cocktails and firearms at a Tesla center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Tesla owner targeted by Marrero’s actions at the Florida mall firmly believes this was a targeted attack. “There was no personal interaction,” he mentioned, underscoring the country’s divide where certain ideologies are not tolerated by some.
According to Local 10 News, Marrero’s bond was set at $2,500, allowing for potential release.
