In a striking development, Dr. Peter Marks, the FDA’s top vaccine official, has been forced out of his position under pressure. Known for his vital role during President Trump’s first term in the swift development of COVID-19 vaccines as part of Operation Warp Speed, Marks has been asked to resign or face termination.
Dr. Marks, an accomplished hematologist-oncologist, had been serving as the director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) at the FDA since 2016. During his tenure, he was tasked with evaluating product applications and making critical approval decisions based on safety and efficacy.
According to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, Marks was given an ultimatum by a Health and Human Services (HHS) official, leading him to tender his resignation, effective April 5. This move is seen as part of HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign to rid the department of what he terms “entrenched bureaucrats” perpetuating “misinformation and lies.”
In his resignation letter to Acting FDA Commissioner Sara Brenner, Marks fiercely criticized Kennedy for allegedly preferring misinformation over transparency and truth.
“If Peter Marks does not want to get behind restoring science to its golden standard and promoting radical transparency, then he has no place at FDA under the strong leadership of Secretary Kennedy.”
The Wall Street Journal further reported that Marks had attempted to reconcile with Kennedy by suggesting public meetings on vaccines, but his support of immunizations clashed with Kennedy’s views.
Marks will depart as Kennedy continues to reshape the Health and Human Services Department, which includes plans to lay off thousands of employees and close offices. This reshaping has already led to the departure of other top FDA leaders, such as Dr. Patrizia Cavazzoni and Jim Jones.

Last year I held a hearing exposing COVID vaccine malfeasance led by Peter Marks at the FDA. Instead of verifying safety and efficacy of the shots, Marks swept things under the rug and became a cheerleader for the jab. Yesterday Peter Marks resigned from the FDA under RFKjr.!
