The brave Defense Minister of Israel, Israel Katz, has unveiled what he describes as “conclusive evidence” showcasing Iran’s financial backing of Hamas for the heinous October 7 terrorist attacks. This chilling revelation includes intercepted communications between Tehran and deceased Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif, indicating a broader plot aiming to “destroy Israel.”
This critical document was seized by Israeli forces amidst the Gaza invasion and was promptly handed over to the IDF’s prestigious intelligence Catalogue unit.
Addressing the IDF’s intelligence unit for Technical Collection and Analysis (AMSHAT), Minister Katz remarked that Sinwar and Deif had requested a staggering $500 million from Iran’s Quds Force commander before the October 7 attack. This funding was intended to bolster Hamas’ horrifying ambition to “annihilate Israel and confront the United States.”
Katz confirmed that this ominous request was approved.

Katz detailed that despite financial constraints and sanctions, Tehran was willing to prioritize the terror financing, emphasizing its pivotal role in fostering conflict against Israel and the US.
The revelation underscores the stark reality that Iran is “the head of the snake,” orchestrating the malign activities of groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and various other terror organizations across Syria and Iraq.
Israeli intelligence, however, noted that while Iran may not have known the precise timing or details of the October 7 invasion, the attack was likely unfeasible without IRGC training, weapons, and monetary support.

Katz reported that Izadi, the head of the IRGC’s Palestinian department, asserted, despite Iran’s economic struggles, Tehran remains committed to supporting Hamas. This determination reflects the Iranian regime’s prioritization of fighting Israel and the U.S.

He stressed, “Despite its denials, Iran is actively funding and fueling terror across all fronts — from Gaza and Lebanon to Syria, Judea & Samaria, and the Houthis in Yemen — under the banner of destroying Israel.”
