Tesla owners nationwide are being targeted—cars vandalized, keyed, painted with swastikas, or even set ablaze. Reports indicate that “over eighty reports of Tesla vandalism have been filed since January.” Instead of condemning these cowardly attacks, the cast of Saturday Night Live decided to take aim at Elon Musk.
In their recent sketch, Mike Myers portrayed a parody version of Musk, opening with this line:
“Recently, our dealerships have been the target of many attacks. And suddenly no one likes Tesla cars. So I asked myself why? And then I answered myself: ‘Because of me.’”
The sketch introduced the Tesla Model V, “the first electric car in history to be fully self-vandalizing,” complete with features like:
- Self-smashing headlights
- Self-slashing tires
- AI-powered graffiti

Myers also poked fun at Musk’s autistic traits, something that struck many viewers as mean-spirited and inappropriate. A popular account on X, Autistic Capital, wrote:
“This is in such exceedingly bad taste. Wow. Not even funny, just mean. Born from hate, not from humor.”
Elon Musk noticed the sketch and responded with characteristic candor:
“SNL hasn’t been funny in a long time. They are their own parody,”
And who can argue with that? The MeToo movement taught us not to blame the victim, but that message seems to have vanished since Musk entered the political arena. Now, making fun of someone’s autism is apparently acceptable comedy.

Democrats once claimed to stand for decency and principle. Yet, sketches like this demonstrate that they’ve abandoned both, which is no surprise given their plummeting favorability ratings.
