As the May 5th trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs approaches, federal prosecutors have issued yet another superseding indictment against the rap mogul—making this the third one. This most recent court filing has added two additional charges to Diddy’s growing list, with four accusers now set to testify against him.
The indictment alleges that Diddy was involved in sex trafficking multiple women, with activities stretching into the previous year.
A superseding indictment accuses Combs of using force, fraud, or coercion to compel a woman to engage in commercial sex acts from at least 2021 to 2024. The indictment, returned by a federal grand jury in Manhattan, also alleges Combs was involved in transporting the woman—identified only as ‘Victim-2’—and other people, including commercial sex workers, to engage in prostitution during the same time frame.
Diddy, currently held at the Brooklyn MDC jail, faces new charges that add to the initial racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking counts from his September arrest. The total charges have now increased from three to five.
According to court filings:
In a court filing, federal prosecutors said the racketeering conspiracy charge involves allegations that Combs sex trafficked three victims and forced a fourth, one of his employees, into sexual activity with him.
Previously, a superseding indictment in January revealed that the case involved at least three women whom prosecutors claim Combs forced into commercial sex acts. Additionally, it was claimed that Diddy once displayed a firearm to a female victim during a kidnapping and dangled a woman over an apartment balcony.
The second superseding indictment in March posed only minimal changes. Diddy is painted as orchestrating a network of associates and employees to coerce and abuse women over several years. Combs, however, denies these allegations and has pleaded not guilty, asserting the charges are unfounded. He states that any interactions were part of consensual relationships, despite the accusations of blackmail, violence, kidnapping, arson, and physical beatings.
The case has also brought to light a 2016 video showing Combs allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie, in a Los Angeles hotel hallway. Prosecutors claim this occurred during a “Freak Off,” but Combs’ defense argues it merely captured a moment in a complex, long-term relationship.
