In the midst of President Donald Trump’s dynamic second term, aimed at restoring America’s greatness, radical federal judges seem determined to thwart the people’s will at every turn.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is rallying Congress to take decisive measures against these activist courts, which consistently obstruct the voice of the American people.

Impeachment efforts against these radical judges are gaining traction in the House, but Roy cautions that securing conviction in the Democrat-controlled Senate is a significant challenge. Consequently, conservatives need a better strategy: defunding these rogue courts completely.

Judge James E. Boasberg, an appointee of Obama and a trusted Deep State ally, recently issued a temporary restraining order to stop the deportation of Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act.

This ruling, favoring criminals over law-abiding citizens, compelled Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) to take action. Gill introduced articles of impeachment against Boasberg, accusing him of creating a constitutional crisis by overturning federal law aimed at ensuring American safety.

Judge Paul Engelmayer, another Obama appointee, blocked an essential initiative by the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk. This department aimed to reduce federal bureaucracy and audit government waste, but Engelmayer’s intervention prevented access to Treasury Department systems.

Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) responded by filing a resolution to impeach Engelmayer, citing judicial misconduct and power abuse.

Judge John J. McConnell Jr., also an Obama appointee, went further by halting President Trump’s federal aid freeze, a critical measure needed to curb unchecked spending.

His ruling, which undermines executive authority, led Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) to file articles of impeachment against him.

While impeachment is the rightful solution for these out-of-control judges, the Senate’s two-thirds vote requirement (67 out of 100 senators) makes their removal challenging. Even if every Republican senator voted for conviction, 14 Democrats would need to defect—a highly unlikely event.

This is why Rep. Chip Roy is advocating for a more direct approach—defunding these radical courts.

Instead of engaging in performative impeachment votes, House Republicans can take immediate action by blocking funding for these activist courts through the appropriations process.

With Republicans holding the fiscal reins, judges like Boasberg, Engelmayer, and McConnell could be rendered ineffective—unable to fund their expansive staffs or enforce unconstitutional rulings.
