The town of Aspinwall, Pennsylvania, is on high alert as police hunt for a man who has reportedly been targeting homes proudly displaying Trump flags or banners. The unidentified individual is accused of approaching these properties and spitting on their doors, a vile act against law-abiding homeowners.

According to CBS News, the suspect was seen on Friday morning approaching a home, opening a screen door, and spitting on the interior door. Aspinwall Police Chief David Nemec noted, “He must have been parked around the corner because we didn’t get to see a car or anything like that.”

Residents recognize the man, suggesting he’s a repeat offender in the area. Police are keen to identify him, believing he might be targeting Trump supporters due to the presence of Trump signs at the homes.

The public is urged to help by contacting Chief David Nemec at 412-781-0213 if they have any information.

This incident echoes a previous event where, just before President Donald Trump secured a second term, the same man allegedly drove a blue Kia to a home with a Trump campaign flag and hurled obscenities. Donald Mazreku, the homeowner, told KDKA-TV he originally thought the man was a delivery person. “He slapped the flag, yelled more obscenities, jumped in his car, and did the same thing as he was driving away,” Mazreku reported.

Police suspect the man, described as being in his late 40s or early 50s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slim build and wearing glasses, is the same individual involved in both incidents. He faces charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Chief Nemec remarked, “If he’s that upset about seeing a flag like this, we’d really like to see what the deep-rooted problem is.”

Aspinwall Councilman Louis Curcio emphasized the community’s commitment to safety, stating, “We have an obligation to protect you as residents of the Borough of Aspinwall, and that’s what we intend on doing, regardless of what side of the aisle you sit or any other issues.”

The public is advised to call 911 if they encounter the suspect instead of approaching him.

This unsettling series of events aligns with a growing trend of attacks on properties associated with prominent conservative figures. In South Carolina, a Tesla charging station was set on fire, and a Tesla showroom in Oregon was shot at. Additionally, a Colorado resident faces federal charges for allegedly vandalizing a Tesla dealership, painting offensive words on its vehicles and windows.
