China is reportedly throwing a fit, threatening a total ban on U.S. films as a retaliatory strike against President Donald Trump’s latest America-first tariff actions. True patriots are standing firm, echoing the sentiment: let them try!
According to Bloomberg, two prominent bloggers with connections to Beijing’s propaganda network disclosed that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is contemplating a major backlash. They threaten to completely halt Hollywood imports to China.
The source of this scoop is Liu Hong, a senior editor at Xinhuanet—the official platform of the state-run Xinhua News Agency—and Ren Yi, known as “Chairman Rabbit,” a Harvard graduate and influential voice with familial ties to the CCP.
Here’s a snapshot of China’s proposed retaliatory measures:
- Halting cooperation with the U.S. on fentanyl, a crisis exacerbated by Beijing.
- Raising tariffs on American agricultural goods like soybeans and sorghum.
- Blocking U.S. poultry imports.
- Restricting American service industries.
- Probing U.S. intellectual property within China.
- Significantly reducing or banning U.S. films.
Bloomberg noted:
One of the accounts, called Niutanqin, is a verified personal account run by Liu, who’s worked for Xinhua since 1998. He posted the information just hours after China vowed to “fight to the end” in response to Trump’s latest tariff threats. He’s the deputy editor-in-chief of the state-run news website, according to a December filing.
This information was also shared by Chairman Rabbit, the social media alias of Ren Yi, the Harvard-educated grandson of Guangdong’s former party chief, Ren Zhongyi.
Neither Liu nor China’s Commerce Ministry commented immediately on the issue.
For too long, Hollywood has been under the thumb of Beijing’s dictates, bending over backwards to adjust scripts, blacklist content, and even add pro-China messages. Yet, as President Trump remains resolute on reciprocal tariffs, the CCP threatens to cut ties with Hollywood entirely.
Conservatives couldn’t be happier with this development:
Awesome!! Now we can get patriotic American themes back in our movies. No more forced casting and script concessions just to get the film accepted in Chinese theaters.

These days Hollywood wokism is like societies poison. Hollywood is producing more and more woke content, and even the western world is turning away from American films. Fewer and fewer people watch the Oscar’s anymore.

I see this as a positive thing for the entertainment industry.
