In a fiery display of patriots standing up to radical agendas, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) engaged in a heated exchange with Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) during a pivotal House hearing. This intense confrontation unfolded during a session focused on sanctuary city policies that favor illegal immigrants over law-abiding citizens.

The House Oversight Committee, led by conservatives committed to securing our borders, delved into the resistance of certain cities in cooperating with federal immigration authorities. This hearing brought forward the mayors of major sanctuary cities, including Michelle Wu of Boston, Brandon Johnson of Chicago, Mike Johnston of Denver, and Eric Adams of New York, who provided testimonies on their controversial policies.

The confrontation erupted when Rep. Pressley, known for her alignment with the leftist “Squad,” attempted to break house protocol. She sought to inject a misleading article into the official record during the session. While Rep. Comer graciously allowed the submission, he expected adherence to procedure—requiring a silent handover, not a grandstanding spectacle.

However, Pressley chose to read from the article instead. She began, “in 2018, data from Texas shows that US-born,” before Rep. Comer boldly interjected, “Without objection, so ordered! Enter it into the record.”

Attempting to hijack the hearing, Pressley protested and insisted on reading further articles. Comer, not one to back down, demanded clarity on the next article, only to be met with more of Pressley’s soliloquies.

It was clear she was following a pattern seen all too often in this committee, as Comer sharply noted, “This trend of you all trying to get thrown out of committee and get on MSNBC is going to end!”

In a dramatic outburst, Pressley declared, “I have a procedural right as a member of this committee to submit documents for the record,” as she attempted to assert dominance over the process. Undeterred, Comer maintained order, reminding her, “You know the process of unanimous consent. You are not recognized.”

Despite her protestations, Comer decisively moved the proceedings forward, unwilling to let political theatrics derail a session centered on issues of national importance. This encounter underscores the challenge faced by those defending the rule of law against those who seek to subvert it for personal or political gain.
