A Tesla Cybertruck appears to have exploded outside Trump Tower in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day, shocking footage from the scene shows.
Shortly before 9 a.m. local time, several videos showing a large cloud of smoke billowing in front of the president-elect’s property emerged on social media. Onlookers stated that they heard a loud bang in the direction of the building before seeing the smoke.
Additional footage from inside Trump Tower shows a smoldering Cybertruck parked directly outside the building. Several additional bangs and whistles could be heard as the vehicle burned.

Fire alarms could also be heard as onlookers from inside the hotel watched on. It is unclear whether the property has been evacuated as of this report.
According to a report from NBC 3 Las Vegas, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire outside the building around 8:41 a.m. Western Time. The fire was reported on the 2000 block of Fashion Show Drive, near the Fashion Show Mall and Trump International Hotel.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said they were investigating the circumstances of the blaze, which has since been extinguished. Police are advising people to avoid the area as the investigation unfolds.
