In a powerful segment on Saturday, the ever-vigilant Steve Bannon from War Room shared his insights on President Trump’s bold move to withhold funds from Columbia University. This action was in response to their extreme Marxist policies, and it didn’t take long for Columbia to buckle under pressure.
The discussion opens with a clip from MSNBC, highlighting the withdrawal of Federal funds from the university and showcasing the typical leftist bias in media portrayal of the situation.
“Columbia University cratered, and I mean cratered, quickly,” Bannon asserted, emphasizing the swift capitulation.
Bannon delved into the core of the issue, stating, “You have to get to the tap root, the source of it, and that is these out-of-control Marxist universities.”
He further highlighted a startling fact: a large portion of Columbia’s student body is international, which raises questions about the institution’s priorities. “Columbia, being the perfect example. Sixty percent of the student body are foreign students, which is unacceptable,” Bannon noted.
Despite Columbia’s initial defiance, they quickly caved when faced with President Trump’s decisive action. “President Trump went after Columbia, withheld $400 million. There is no long six-month fight. There is no two-year fight. They are not to the barricades. They folded almost immediately. This is a lesson, that these institutions that talk so tough and gonna be so tough, will collapse when you hold the money,” Bannon explained.
Bannon praised President Trump as a master negotiator who knows precisely where to apply pressure, stating, “President Trump, who is a tremendous negotiator, and really knows where leverage is, went right to it.”
In his closing remarks, Bannon issued a powerful call to action: Federal funds should be withheld from all Marxist institutions until they undergo a deep transformation. “I would actually say this is a call to arms to withhold all Federal money from these institutions until they get focused, until they clean out the rat’s nest,” Bannon declared.
