On a peaceful Sunday morning, the heart of New Mexico’s Republican Party was ruthlessly attacked in a brazen act of political terrorism. The headquarters in Albuquerque was targeted, with its entryway reduced to charred ruins by a calculated act of arson. The perpetrators left a chilling message, defacing the property with the words “ICE = KKK.”
The Albuquerque Fire Department reported, “On March 30, 2025, at 05:56, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched with Bernalillo County Fire Rescue to 5160 San Francisco Dr. NE for a reported structure fire.”
The report continued, “Engine 15 arrived on scene and reported a working fire. The blaze was controlled within 5 minutes. The front entryway was damaged, and smoke permeated the building. Thankfully, no injuries to civilians or firefighters occurred. AFR Fire Investigators, alongside the FBI and ATF, are actively investigating. No further details are available at this time.”
Although no one was harmed, the vandals’ message was unmistakable: oppose the radical Left, and face intimidation, silence, or worse.

This despicable attack, sparked by hatred and intolerance, strikes at the core of our cherished values, freedoms, and political expression rights.
This incident is far from isolated. It reflects a worrying trend of politically-motivated violence across our nation—often fueled by the silence and implicit encouragement of progressive leaders who fail to condemn such acts.
Their inaction has fomented an environment where assaults like this are not only possible but increasingly frequent.
New Mexico GOP Chairwoman, Amy Barela, stated, “We are deeply relieved that no one was harmed in what could have been a tragic and deadly attack. Those who resort to violence to undermine our state and nation must be held accountable. Our state leaders must take decisive action to ensure these cowardly attacks are not tolerated.”
She added, “We are collaborating closely with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), local law enforcement, and federal investigators. We are dedicated to providing all necessary evidence to bring the culprits to justice and ensure full prosecution. We will not let New Mexico’s broken criminal justice system diminish the gravity of this attack.”

Let us remember: the Democrat Party historically supported the formation of the KKK, enforced Jim Crow laws, and defended slavery. Today, we witness similar dangerous tendencies in new guises—efforts to stifle free speech, silence dissent, and manipulate the political narrative through fear.
Our battle transcends party lines—it is for every New Mexican yearning for a safer, freer, and more accountable state. We will never back down.
